MCP on Windsurf

Use Windsurf’s MCP integration with Onboard for engineering workflows against hosted MCP.

Windsurf is a code-centric AI IDE. When your team enables MCP in Windsurf, you can point it at Onboard’s hosted MCP endpoint the same way as other remote MCP clients.

Configuration

  1. Open Windsurf’s MCP configuration (location varies by release; use the latest in-product documentation).
  2. Register a server whose HTTP/SSE URL is https://rest.onboard.io/mcp/sse as documented on MCP setup.
  3. Add your Onboard API key from Integrations → API using the field Windsurf provides for authenticated MCP servers.

Engineering machines still need normal key hygiene—no committing .env files with production keys. Use the Security checklist.
